EPG - 2

The EPG2 palatograph device is a hardware component of the IPdS electropalatograph system. It scans the contacts of an artificial palate and codes the digital EPG signal into an analog signal with bandwith and dynamics of a speech signal. This signal may be recorded together with a microphone signal with any computer equipped with a stereo audio input, thus implicitely synchronizing both signals. For further processing EPG data are extracted by decoding software which is the software component of the IPdS EPG system. The downloadable pdf-file below contains a description with further details of the hardware and software components of the EPG -2.
